Daddy dug out a drainage dtich, and filled it with gravel. The boys think this is a wonderful addition and are now intent on roads and making "concrete" (wet gravel).

We dragged Daddy out for a hike the other day he took us to see the bears that live at the end of the road. The boys weren't terribly interested at first. For a while there, Daddy convinced Shane that the bear was going to eat him.

That kept them sorta quiet while we waited for the momma bear and her 2 cubs to show up. Finally, they did, and I took the kids to the car to escape the glares of the serious bear watchers. We left Daddy and the camera on the lookout hoping the bears would get close enough for some good pictures. The boys were fighting to "drive the car" so Dad's stay wasn't long.

You can still see momma bear at the head of the visible trail.. and a few feet in front of her is the dark spot of her 2 cubs playing. Someday we'll get some AWESOME shots for you.

Hey everyone! Thanks for dropping a note on our blog! I'm excited to see what you have to say (and have a little round-about adult interaction!) Please don't put up any personal info- email that directly to me. :) Thanks so much!
