You'll forgive me if I don't blog for a while...
I will get some help soon to catch up and then share the hard and wonderful details of this painful time.

The Best Advice

When faced with challenges like ours
1. Don't blame. No one did this on purpose. It is what it is. Some things are inherited, others are not. Only Heavenly Father really knows the plan, we have to trust that he knows what he is doing, and play along until we understand too.

2. You are the mom (or dad), you are his advocate, and that is what he needs the most. You will love him no matter what. As the mom you will get a team of these type of people to help you with what he needs help with, that is what they are there for.

3. Pace yourself, this isn't something that you will be able to fix. It is a process for all of you. Learn what you can, but pace yourself.

4. Take a break often. You need to take care of Mom, otherwise there isn't anyone left to take care of your children.

5. Love him, play with him, kiss him, hug him. Tell him that "of all the boys in the whole wide world I would pick you.
